Tian Tan Temple, also known as The Big Buddha is one of the largest statues in China and the largest bronze Buddha statue in the worlds. It is situated on the top of a hill near Ngong Ping village. From the platform at the base of the statue, you can get spectacular panoramic views of North Lantau Island Park, the mountains and the sea.

The outer areas of the temple, the steps and the summit platform can all be accessed for free. This allows visitors to walk around the Buddha and enjoy the views. A visitor need only buy a ticket to enter into the small temple within the statue of Buddha itself. A token vegetarian meal is given to all visitors who enter the temple.
