This stone pagoda dates back to the Song dynasty of China, around 959 to 961 AD. It was originally set within a large Buddhist temple and clad in wood, however, during the cultural revolution, the site was set on fire and most of the buildings destroyed. Some have since been reconstructed. The pagoda has a notable lean to one side of about 7 degrees. The pagoda site is within Tiger Hill park in Suzhou, right at the top of the hill.
