A great place to take the kids, the science museum has exhibits on mechanics, computers and so on. It is relatively cheap but extensive, so offers good value for money. The location is just out of the city: Just the other side of the Songhua river from the city centre. It is near to the Sun Island Park and the location of the winter Snow and Ice Festival.

Opening Hours: Open 9:00am to 4:30pm in summer and till 4:00pm in winter.
Price: Entry tickets are 20 RMB for adults with discounts for students.
