A Mihrab is the niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the qibla, that is, the direction of Kaaba that Muslims should face when praying. The Kaaba is located in the city of Mecca, Arabia, and was originally built by Prophet Abraham 4,000 years ago as a place to worship One God, without partners. A Turban is a headdress consisting of a long scarf-like single piece of cloth wound round the head or an inner hat. Traditionally, in hot countries, the cloth would be soaked in water then wrapped around the head ensuring that the wearer remains cool throughout the day. They were even worn in Europe during the middle ages, the famous girl with pearl earing painting by Vermeer shows the girl wearing a turban.
